CommentWhen I saw it for the first time in 2016 (January 3.13) it had clearly brightened significantly, to m1 = 9.4 (which may be a bit of an underestimate, as I was unable to convincingly detect it in 10x50 binoculars due to nearby stars of similar brightness).
