Comment | I’ve been waiting a long time for the onset of good weather at my usual observation post in Konchezero (green zone of the light pollution world map), but cleared up just before dawn along with Moon set (there were even some aurora flashes at that time). I used compact refractor DeepSky 70ED for observations, through which at the lower magnification comet was visible fine. It was found that 2 weeks since my last observation of comet C/2014 E2 it’s dropped in brightness but only slightly (estimated 7.4 mag). Coma remains quite large, although degree of condensation has decreased (from DC 6 two weeks ago to DC 4). |
