КомментарийSQM-L near comet = 20.93 It was 10 days after the previous observation and during the very first moonless night of new lunation, when I was observing comet C/2014 E2 (Jacques) again. Air transparency today was not as good as last time, but still very decent; the level of light pollution corresponds to green zone declared for this place. Beautiful double star Albireo and Anser star (α Vulpeculae) were excellent guides today to find C/2014 E2: the comet was located approximately in between these stars. Object was easily observed with the lowest available magnification (13x) through a 7-cm ED-refractor DeepSky. Immediately catches the eye, that Tailed Guest has shown a significant drop in its brightness over the past 10 days (in order of 1 mag.). The degree of condensation has dropped also (from 4 to 3), but the coma diameter is not changed, remaining at 8 '. This is my tenth visual observation of the comet so it becomes one of the most observed Tailed Objects for me. I hope a few more times to see C/2014 E2 in September again.
